WayForward releases Clock Tower: Rewind in the West before it is released in Japan, even though it was originally released here (at least in this version).

Turn back the clock on one of the pioneers of the survival horror genre. Translated and released outside of Japan for the first time, Clock Tower: Rewind is a revival of the chilling 16-bit classic that dares you to explore the haunting confines of the Barrows family mansion. As teenage orphan Jennifer, you must scour every unsettling corner to find items, uncover secrets, and discover ways to evade Scissorman, a murderous, unstoppable, scissors-wielding psychopath.

Play the original mode to experience Clock Tower as it was when it was first released in 1995, or play the enhanced mode with additional content and enhancements. Additional features include a new animated intro, opening and closing vocal theme songs, motion comic cutscenes, a creator interview, an art gallery, background artwork, save states, and a music player. The clock is ticking, can you survive?

Clock Tower is officially translated and brought out of Japan for the first time. Run, hide and survive as you try to evade the psychotic Scissorman. Multiple endings and randomized gameplay elements maximize replayability (and jump scares). Features a new animated opening, motion comic cutscenes, and a vocal theme song performed by Mary McGlynn. Atmospheric 2D art, detailed animations, and haunting sound effects complement the tense point-and-click gameplay. It also features an art gallery, music player, behind-the-scenes creator interview, save states, and other modern inclusions.

Clock Tower: Rewind will be released in the West on October 29 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. In Japan, it will hit stores on October 31st. According to WayForward, this fall will be one of their most exciting and action-packed periods, and we’ll get to relive the 16-bit classic just in time for Halloween.
