Star Wars Outlaws: Fixes and a DLC – Will the Updates Silence the Critics?

Massive Entertainment promises significant improvements and a new DLC to address the criticism. The Sabacc-centered Wild Card expansion will be available on November 21.

It’s safe to say that Star Wars Outlaws didn’t have the smoothest launch. While some players are enjoying Kay Vess’ adventure, others feel that the experience hasn’t lived up to expectations. Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft are aware of the community’s concerns, which is why they are planning post-launch patches to address the game’s issues.

According to a recent X post, which outlines a short-term roadmap for Star Wars Outlaws, Massive Entertainment has scheduled the release of Wild Card, the first DLC that revolves around the Star Wars universe’s popular Sabacc card game. This content will be available starting November 21.

In the meantime, Massive Entertainment is not sitting idle. The roadmap shows that Star Wars Outlaws will receive two updates over the next few weeks: Update 2 (October 3), focused on bug fixes and adjustments, and Update 3 (October 24), which will bring quality-of-life improvements. Finally, the Wild Card release will coincide with Update 4, which will include combat and stealth improvements, along with additional contracts that offer new challenges for players.

Star Wars Outlaws’ Sales Below Expectations

Massive Entertainment’s efforts to improve Star Wars Outlaws are in response to the game’s underwhelming commercial performance, which has been “softer than expected” for Ubisoft. In an effort to mitigate the sales decline, Ubisoft plans to release these updates and fixes to address the criticisms from the player community.
