There are no shortcuts here, as the PC requirements for the new Scotland-set Silent Hill are anything but modest. The recommended memory and graphics card specifications are particularly demanding.
Let us move directly to the system requirements. The minimum configuration targets 1080p resolution at 30 FPS, while the recommended hardware aims for 4K at 30 FPS with balanced upscaling.

The game is being developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn, formerly known as No Code, and uses Unreal Engine 5 just like last year’s Silent Hill f. However, it appears to have significantly higher requirements than the title developed by NeoBards Entertainment. The largest difference is that Silent Hill: Townfall raises the recommended memory requirement to 32 GB, while Silent Hill f remained at 16 GB. Townfall also requires a more powerful recommended graphics card and 25 GB of additional storage, making it clearly more demanding of the two games.
The difference in processor requirements is smaller but still noticeable, as both the minimum and recommended CPUs for Townfall are slightly more powerful than those listed for Silent Hill f. Nevertheless, anyone who played Silent Hill f without difficulty has a good chance of running Silent Hill: Townfall on the same system. A new gameplay clip has also appeared and can be viewed below.
Silent Hill: Townfall will be released on September 24 for PlayStation 5 and PC. It will presumably remain a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for one year, following the pattern established by Silent Hill 2 Remake before its Xbox Series release.
