MOVIE NEWS – Season 1 of Fallout started filming on July 5, 2022, and premiered on April 10, 2024. Season 2, however, is shaping up to be different. Good news for Prime Video’s Fallout series – filming for Season 2 will begin in just a few days.
The Fallout series has become one of the biggest productions ever adapted from a video game universe. Its compelling storyline, mysterious characters, and post-apocalyptic atmosphere have captured the imagination of fans. The first season racked up staggering numbers, becoming one of Prime Video’s most-watched series ever. Now, viewers are eagerly anticipating more episodes, and we’ve got some exciting updates.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant at New York Comic Con, actress Leslie Uggams, who plays Betty Pearson, confirmed that filming for Fallout Season 2 will begin in November. While no exact date has been announced yet, it’s clear that the start is imminent. Rumors had already circulated for weeks, saying that filming for this season would begin “very soon,” so it’s no surprise that production is about to get underway.
“We start in November. I’m excited about it,” reveals Uggams, who plays the Overseer at Vault 33 in the series. Interestingly, Season 1 began filming on July 5, 2022, and the episodes premiered on April 10, 2024. This time around, the wait may not be as long since much of the set design, costumes, and other production elements have already been developed. Prime Video is preparing for a return packed with new creatures, settings, and factions.
When could Fallout Season 2 be released?
Considering the necessary post-production work and the months of filming, an optimistic release window for Season 2 would be sometime between October and December 2025. However, given the challenges that can arise during production, a 2026 release is also possible. Of course, these are just predictions, and we’ll have to wait for Prime Video to confirm a more definitive release date in the coming months.
