Play Your Owned Games Anytime with Xbox Cloud Gaming!

Xbox Cloud Gaming beta is available on new platforms in the 28 countries where cloud gaming is available.

Microsoft has announced that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now try out what it’s like to play a small selection of their purchased games from the cloud on TVs, browsers (smartphones, PCs, tablets). It is planned to work on Xbox consoles and the Xbox app on Windows, but they will have to wait until 2025. Fifty games can currently be played in the cloud. What are they?

7 Days to Die, Animal Well, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Balatro, Baldur’s Gate III, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022), The Casting of Frank Stone, Cyberpunk 2077, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Dredge, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Farming Simulator 25, Fear the Spotlight, Final Fantasy XIV Online, Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, Hades, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, High On Life, Hitman World of Assassination, Hogwarts Legacy, House Flipper 2, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Lego Harry Potter Collection, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Metro Exodus, Mortal Kombat 1, NBA 2K25, PGA Tour 2K23, Phasmophobia, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Rust Console Edition, Star Wars Outlaws, Stray, The Crew Motorfest, The Outlast Trials, The Plucky Squire, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, TopSpin 2K25, Undertale, Visions of Mana, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, WWE 2K24.

So if you have one of these and it’s not currently on Game Pass, you can still run it from the cloud. You can play on Samsung smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, and Meta Quest headsets. How do I get started? Go to this site in your browser (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Apple Safari… so it has to be Chromium-based), log in, go to Stream Your Own Game, plug in a controller (DualSense, DualShock 4, Xbox controller, Xbox adaptive controller) or, if you’re playing on a PC, a mouse and keyboard on some supported titles, and you’re ready to play. On supported TVs and VR headsets, download the Xbox app (Samsung smart TVs/Amazon Fire TV) or the Xbox Cloud Gaming app (Meta Quest 2/3/Pro), log in, find the Stream Your Own Game option, connect a controller via Bluetooth (all of the above work), and you’re done.

This is a nice innovation.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
