Rockstar insiders are laughing at how GTA 6 is driving the community crazy with absurd theories. Rockstar Games’ production coordinator has shared her thoughts on the ridiculous ideas circulating about GTA 6 and its upcoming trailers.
The anticipation for GTA 6 has long reached levels of absolute madness. This frenzy causes even the smallest detail or material shared by Rockstar to spark theories ranging from intriguing to downright insane. Whether it’s hidden messages on the moon or Braille-based conspiracy theories in GTA 6, many of these speculations lead nowhere.
However, it seems that those inside Rockstar are genuinely amused by the bizarre conspiracy theories fans share on social media. This was highlighted by Rockstar Games’ production coordinator, who commented on her X/Twitter account: “I try hard to stay away from GTA reddit and Twitter, but every now and then a friend will send me something, and I have a good laugh at some posts.”
Thousands of people visit the GTA 6 subreddit daily, boasting 1.1 million members, to uncover any details about Rockstar Games’ next big open-world game. The company is aware of this and, to some extent, allows it because it keeps the community talking about GTA 6 without them having to share anything themselves. This strategy has worked for years, but with Grand Theft Auto VI, it has reached new extremes.
Rockstar uses easter eggs to drive fans crazy
Another element keeping the community engaged is the famous “easter eggs.” A few weeks ago, we reported that Rockstar added easter eggs in GTA 5 to “drive players a little crazy” and “annoy people.” Ben Hinchliffe, who also worked on GTA 6, commented: “Obviously, there’s always a desire to put these complex easter eggs and clues for the most dedicated players to follow. Sometimes you add them just to annoy people. They don’t actually do anything. Just to drive them a little crazy.”
