Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Bethesda Addresses the Denuvo Controversy

Bethesda has addressed the controversy. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PC will not feature the technology most loathed by players. Initially, it was believed otherwise, but Bethesda has confirmed the game will not include Denuvo.

The return of Indiana Jones to the gaming world has sparked significant anticipation among players. As one of the most eagerly awaited titles of the year, Bethesda’s action-adventure game is set to release in the coming hours. However, PC gamers were left wondering whether the Denuvo anti-piracy system—hated by much of the gaming community for good reason—would be part of the game.

Speculation arose recently when certain social media channels claimed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would include Denuvo. Bethesda quickly took to Twitter (X) to clarify: “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle does not include Denuvo. It was only present in test versions to prevent leaks.”

The developers aimed to safeguard the title against early leaks and piracy ahead of its December 6 release. This assurance comes as a relief to players concerned about Denuvo’s notorious impact on performance. With this hurdle cleared, MachineGames’ adventure promises an unhampered gaming experience for fans.

In addition, Bethesda has shared the full system requirements for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The game is highly demanding, requiring at least 32 GB of RAM and a GPU supporting ray tracing—such as an NVIDIA RTX 2000 series or an AMD RX 6600. A robust processor and 120 GB of SSD storage are also necessary to hit 60 FPS across various configurations.
