Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070: Is the Founders Edition Card Arriving Later?

TECH NEWS – We’ve heard that Nvidia has delayed the release of the card at the last minute…

The RTX 5070, which seems to be a completely different class of product rather than an inferior edition of the Ti model, doesn’t look very impressive based on test results. And now Andreas Schilling, the editor of Hardware Luxx, has reported on Twitter that Nvidia sent him an email yesterday in which “the greens” talked about the RTX 5070 Founders Edition card not hitting stores until later, while the embargo on testing has already been lifted…

It’s not sure if this will affect the release of the AIB models (i.e. non-Nvidia graphics cards), so they might not be available until the end of March as well. The RTX 5070 is basically only on par with the RTX 4070 Super, its generational improvement is not as strong, but its price is a bit higher (the RTX 4070 Super is $550, this one is $600), but if you can’t find it at MSRP, it might be worth buying AMD’s alternative, the Radeon RX 9070 XT (here, the pricing of the base model makes it advisable to invest in the more expensive model; $600/$550 is the price).

The RTX 5070 was rumored a few weeks ago to have some kind of bug in the GPU that limited its performance or supply issues with the chip, but Nvidia hasn’t officially given any reason for the delayed release date of the graphics card. Both the base and overclocked (OC) cards launched by the manufacturer have appeared on some retailers’ websites at recommended retail prices, but the question is how long this will last, as it is only a matter of time before this card follows the example of the others and becomes more expensive…

So Nvidia is being a bit cagey about the GeForce RTX 5070, as the Founders Edition cards may not be available until later, but the company is keeping quiet.
