Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra: Marvel’s Next Big Game Finally Gets a Release Window – Here’s When You Can Play 1943: Rise of Hydra!

Khary Payton, who plays Black Panther in Skydance New Media’s highly anticipated game, has finally shared exciting news with fans: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is expected to launch by late 2025, right around Christmas. The ambitious World War II action game will see Captain America and Black Panther battling Hydra in occupied France.

News about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been sparse, but we now have more details about the project led by Uncharted creator Amy Hennig. While we already knew that the game was scheduled for 2025, Khary Payton has now provided a clearer timeframe, stating that the launch is planned for the holiday season.

Payton, who portrays Black Panther in the game, confirmed this information in an interview with The Direct (via YouTube) during the MultiCon celebration in Los Angeles, California. “We’re still working [on the game]. We plan to [launch it] in 2025… We’re thinking about a Christmas situation. But I’m very excited,” he said.

The actor also spoke about the emotional impact of bringing the Marvel hero to life in the game: “If you had told me that I would get to be Black Panther… As a Black kid growing up in America, of course, you dream about it. Then Chadwick [Boseman] came along and brought him to life on the big screen, and I thought, ‘This is even better than I imagined.’ And now, in the video game, I get to play his grandfather – a different version of Black Panther – in the most photorealistic way…”

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Promises a True Cinematic Experience

Payton emphasized that the game aims to deliver an experience that players and their families can enjoy together, comparing it to watching Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead: “They’re going for an incredible cinematic experience that everyone can enjoy.”

The actor also praised Amy Hennig’s direction: “Amy Hennig, who created Uncharted, is leading this project, and she’s simply amazing. I feel like we couldn’t have asked for a better boss for this game. I know it’s taking time, but trust me, it’ll be worth the wait.”

As for the gameplay, Payton hinted at an exciting and dynamic experience: “We’re going to be moving around quite a bit… We won’t just be sitting in a café in Paris. We’re going places, and I’m thrilled for you to see it.”
