Indiana Jones and The Great Circle: The Xbox Series X Has Nothing to Be Ashamed of! [VIDEO]

MachineGames’ game isn’t far behind the PlayStation 5 Pro in terms of resolution, according to a new comparison.

A new comparison video of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has arrived. You can check it out below, and it shows that Microsoft’s most powerful console to date, the Xbox Series X, isn’t far behind the PlayStation 5 Pro. It’s much closer to a half-generation console upgrade than the base PlayStation 5, according to what Brazilian Pixel has done, which is a very exacting comparison.

The video compares the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 5 Pro versions of the game at an early point in the game. Meanwhile, you can track the performance of Indy’s adventure. On all three platforms, it’s quite good in terms of frame timing, frame rate, and render resolution. While the PlayStation 5 Pro version obviously has the highest resolution (as it runs in native 4K in most cases), the Xbox Series X isn’t too far behind, as Microsoft’s console is closer to the PlayStation 5 Pro than the base model. Even more impressive is the console’s power consumption.

We had no doubt that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would run best on the PlayStation 5 Pro, as this console has more modern hardware than the others, with the “half” PlayStation 5 being from last year, while the base PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are both from 2020. The PlayStation 5 Pro version is outstanding, not only because of the often native 4K resolution, but also because of the global illumination of the light, the ambient occlusion and the improved contact shadows.

By the way, the PlayStation 5 port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released today, so the hated treasure hunter has finally made it to Sony’s console (or pair of consoles, if you want to include the PlayStation 5 Pro). This means that another Xbox exclusive has found its way to one of the competing platforms.
