Zwack’s latest campaign pays tribute to tradition, friendship, and Hungarian pub culture by pairing the iconic Unicum with a cold beer – and who better to embody this duo than actors Szabolcs Thuróczy and Zsolt Anger?

In its newest promotional project, Unicum highlights its classic herbal liqueur paired with beer, turning the familiar combo into more than just a drink – it becomes a metaphor for memorable encounters. The Unlikely Pair campaign is led by two seasoned actors, Szabolcs Thuróczy and Zsolt Anger, who bring a healthy dose of humor and charm to the screen.

The Unicum + beer combination has long served as an opener to stories, friendships, and unforgettable nights out. According to Zwack, the mix represents more than taste – it’s about chemistry. Just like the drinks, Thuróczy and Anger are great on their own, but together, they’re iconic – a dynamic already proven by their shared success in the hit series Golden Life.

Between shots and stories: Fészek Club and cinematic chemistry

The campaign was shot at Budapest’s legendary Fészek Artists’ Club, a timeless venue with over a century of history. Known for hosting writers, bohemians, and cultural icons, the location is a fitting backdrop for a campaign steeped in tradition and charm. Alongside the veteran actors, Luca Márkus, a rising talent, joins the cast, and Sándor Zwack himself makes a brief cameo appearance.

“Thuróczy and Anger capture the spirit we aimed to portray: spontaneous joy, unforgettable conversations, and the kind of warmth you get from both a good drink and good company. It was a real golden life filming with them,” says Sándor Zwack, Chairman of the Board at Zwack Unicum Nyrt.

The first film in the campaign premiered in May, with a second part planned for September. It promises more stories, more laughs, and a continued celebration of tradition – all served with a perfectly poured pint and a splash of Unicum.
