PS4 games still sells like hot cakes, that’s pretty obvious. According to NPD’s data, there isn’t any shocking surprise, as the usual form happened in August as well. The PlayStation 4 was the most sold console, as well as the platform that sold the most games. Unfortunately, NPD did not disclose any numbers, but according to Sony, they led the pack in the last month of summer too… but they didn’t mention any numbers either. Probably the numbers went on a holiday or something…
So far, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One was together on sale for 22 months, and only in three of these were the PlayStation 4 beaten. In 2015, only a single month was lost by Sony. November is likely going to be Redmond’s (as this is when Rise of the Tomb Raider arrives, and the PlayStation 4 port is delayed by an entire year), and the September-October is likely going to be the PS4’s – the latter month is questionable, as Halo 5: Guardians drop on October 27. We wouldn’t try to guess December yet.
Seeing how over 25 million consoles were sold – and one of them is in the Middle-East -, there is a good reason for Sony to be proud about their PS4 games sales as well.
