007 First Light: IO Interactive Officially Reveals Its New Bond Game!

IO Interactive has finally pulled back the curtain on its James Bond title, now officially named 007 First Light, set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Follow James Bond in his early days as a clever, daring MI6 recruit and uncover the untold origin story of the world’s most iconic spy. After a courageous act, the young naval airman is invited to join the newly revived Double-0 program. But when a mission to take down a rogue agent ends in disaster, Bond must team up with his reluctant mentor Greenway to expose a hidden conspiracy and stop a coup before it unfolds.

Stealth or Action – Your Call

007 First Light offers a standalone narrative that traces the rise of a bold young man into Britain’s finest secret agent. Travel to breathtaking global locations, drive legendary vehicles, and dive into a cinematic chase after a cunning rogue agent who always stays one step ahead.

Whether you prefer stealth or full-on firepower, fists or gadgets, First Light lets you choose your playstyle. Complete missions your way and return to your favorites with extra modifiers for a fresh challenge each time.

Built on Hitman Expertise

“With 25 years of experience from the Hitman franchise, our team saw this as a tremendous opportunity to bring James Bond back to games. We’ve poured our passion and creativity into delivering a cinematic adventure that redefines what a Bond game can be while telling a bold new story,” said Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive, in a press release.

Formerly known as Project 007, the game is now officially titled 007 First Light. After months of secrecy, IO has confirmed it’s coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC in 2026.
