Could Alex Jordan Be the Hero of Dishonored 3? The Actor Who Sparked a Fan Frenzy – But Will Xbox Finally Deliver?

We all want a Dishonored 3, and some are literally begging Xbox on their knees to make it happen. Veteran actor Alex Jordan has now publicly urged the IP holders to make a sequel to Dishonored 2, claiming that fans genuinely need it.

A surprise move has ignited a new wave of excitement among Dishonored fans. Alex Jordan, whose credits include Dragon Age: The Veilguard, The Alters, and Wuthering Waves, took to his X profile (formerly Twitter) to directly appeal to the game’s developers: please consider a third entry. He offered no concrete details, but his heartfelt message unleashed a torrent of support and speculation within the community.

Jordan’s career stretches back to 2014, spanning both video games and film—Doctor Who, Stellaris, Mordhau, and Frogwares’ Sherlock Holmes, to name a few—yet Dishonored has never appeared on his résumé. And that’s exactly what makes this so intriguing. Although the British actor hasn’t worked on Arkane’s IP, in his video he muses, “you might know me as one of the voices of Dishonored 3”—a line many saw as a hint for the saga’s future, though he actually meant it as a broader wish.

Shortly after, the voice of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty doubled down: “You’d recognize me in the game if Dishonored 3 existed, but it should.” This was a direct plea to Arkane and Xbox to bring back one of gaming’s most beloved franchises, which he closed out with: “We need Dishonored 3. Someone, please, make Dishonored 3.”

The community’s response was instant: hundreds rallied behind Jordan, demanding a new sequel and voicing support for both the cause and the actor. On X, a user posted: “Voice actor Alex Jordan urges Microsoft, owner of the series, to greenlight Dishonored 3,” yet again highlighting how much players crave the return of Corvo or Emily Kaldwin. The enthusiasm even evoked memories of previous successful fan campaigns that resurrected dormant franchises through sheer collective will.

What About Dishonored’s Veteran Developers?

The outlook for Dishonored remains complicated. While Dinga Bakaba, lead designer on Dishonored 2, is still at Arkane, he’s currently focused on Marvel’s Blade—a project that looks to be a long way from release. Meanwhile, Harvey Smith (director of Dishonored 2) and Raphaël Colantonio (series creator) are both gone from Bethesda. Smith was last seen heading Redfall (which marked the end of Arkane Austin), and Colantonio founded WolfEye Studios in 2019 to pursue new projects far from major publishers.

For now, what we have from Jordan and the fans are just echoes and hopes. But one thing is clear: the actor’s public plea has broken the silence around Dishonored and reignited debate over a possible third installment. As nostalgia for a non-existent Dishonored 3 continues to grow, we can only hope that the future brings a real new game, not a disappointment.
