Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection: Another Story for Monster Hunters [VIDEO]

Capcom doesn’t only work on the main Monster Hunter games; it also develops many spin-offs, including this one.

This all-new adventure is the latest installment in the popular RPG series, in which Monster Riders embark on thrilling journeys across the vast Monster Hunter world. In Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the story follows two nations on the path to ruin. Amidst the encroaching crystals threatening the lands of Azuria and Vermeil, the discovery of a mysterious egg brings hope. From its shell hatches a Rathalos, a monster believed to be extinct. Yet, this ray of hope quickly turns to despair when a second monster emerges. The twin Rathalos share the same mark as the twin Skyscale Rathalos, harbingers of destruction reminiscent of a civil war from 200 years ago. As the environment decays and monsters face extinction, the flames of war are ignited once more.

In this tale, players assume the role of Azuria’s heir. Gifted with special abilities that make them leader of the Rangers and the kingdom’s only Rathalos Rider, the protagonist passionately fulfills their duties, protecting monsters and investigating egg quartz. However, a life-changing event soon compels them to investigate strange phenomena threatening the world. In pursuit of the truth, they journey to the forbidden lands beyond the northern Meridian.

Alongside the hero is Eleanor, princess of Vermeil. Troubled by the worsening situation, she offers herself as a hostage to Azuria in hopes of easing tensions between the nations. Inspired by the efforts of the Rangers, Eleanor and her beloved Monstie, Anjanath, join the party to uncover her sister’s, the Queen of Vermeil, true intentions. Bound together by the shadow of impending catastrophe, they step into the current of fate and venture into forbidden territory.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is set to launch next year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. So, this game is no longer being developed for the 2017 Nintendo Switch!
