Is Nvidia Teaming Up With Foxconn to Launch Its First Humanoid Robots?

TECH NEWS – The era of physical artificial intelligence may be about to begin, with reports suggesting a showcase could happen before the end of the year.

After AI training, generative AI, and agentic AI, Nvidia is now setting its sights on what it calls physical AI — the industry’s next big frontier. Humanoid robots have been gaining attention recently, especially thanks to Chinese firms like Unitree. Now, it seems Nvidia is preparing to enter the market, as the Taiwan Economic Daily reports that Foxconn could launch humanoid robots within the coming months.

Foxconn already plays a crucial role in Nvidia’s AI supply chain, handling mass production of advanced AI servers such as the Blackwell and Blackwell Ultra models. According to reports, November’s Foxconn Technology Day will see Nvidia unveil humanoid robot technologies equipped with LLMs and specialized “robot brains.”

Notably, Foxconn’s U.S. facility is expected to produce both humanoid robots and Blackwell Ultra GB300 AI servers. These robots are currently being trained for industrial use. Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, has previously emphasized that physical AI will surpass the impact of both generative and agentic AI, since robots are poised to reshape everyday life in both commercial and professional contexts.

The upcoming reveal from Nvidia and Foxconn could mark a milestone in physical AI. Given that the “greens” view humanoid robots as equally vital as computational breakthroughs, expectations are sky-high. Still, the looming question is how this technology will affect the labor market if it becomes widespread, as robots inevitably take over roles traditionally filled by humans, creating new challenges for livelihoods.
