Team NINJA and PlatinumGames have dropped the dramatic story trailer for Ninja Gaiden 4, teasing a brutal showdown in a cursed, near-future Tokyo where the fate of the city depends on a new generation of ninja warriors.

Published by Xbox Game Studios, Ninja Gaiden 4 marks a bold revival of one of the most intense hack-and-slash franchises in gaming history. The game blends the sharp, precise combat of Team NINJA with PlatinumGames’ dynamic action flair, offering veterans and newcomers alike a ferocious gameplay experience powered by deadly style and technique.

The trailer introduces Yakumo, a prodigious young ninja caught in the shadow of Ryu Hayabusa, as he battles biomechanical ninja forces and supernatural horrors. A toxic miasma engulfs Tokyo after an ancient evil reawakens, setting the stage for a desperate fight to reclaim the city. Classic moves like the Izuna Drop return alongside devastating new techniques like Bloodbind Ninjutsu, allowing players to reshape their arsenal on the fly and dive deep into high-speed, high-skill combat.

Ninja Gaiden 4 launches on October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It will also be available day-one on Game Pass.
