The demo showcased during February’s Steam Next Fest received a lot of attention, and Hed Media Games took the feedback seriously. After months of adjustments, CyberTaxi: Lunatic Nights officially launched in Early Access on Steam on September 2.
Filip Liebert, the solo developer and driving force behind Hed Media Games, expressed his gratitude for the positive reception of the demo and confirmed that community feedback continues to shape the game. With the Early Access launch, CyberTaxi: Lunatic Nights is now open to the public.
The demo offered during Next Fest in February provided plenty of valuable feedback. As a result, the game now includes tutorials, quality-of-life improvements, more responsive taxi controls, and additional destructible elements (yes, even more explosive barrels). Expanded missions add new, wild twists, such as a ride through a haunted house. Players eager for chaos can now take control of their “almost reliable” futuristic taxis.
The official Early Access trailer has also been released. Players will find themselves driving a weapon-packed yellow cab through crime-ridden streets, picking up bizarre passengers, and making money the old-fashioned way: flooring it, running over criminals, blowing up obstacles, and doing whatever it takes to become the city’s best cab driver.
What does Prison City offer?
Two alternative combat modes – Wreak havoc behind the wheel or step out and fight face-to-face with weapons. The choice is yours, until everything goes “boom.”
Taxi sim meets action RPG – Complete passenger requests, earn cash, smoke a few cigarettes, manage your car’s energy levels, and invest in weapons (let’s face it, a rocket launcher is way cooler than a new air freshener).
The city that never sleeps (and rarely breathes) – Explore dystopian Prison City, uncover its secrets, and maintain your car, because breaking down in a dark alley is the last thing you want.
The absurdity continues – Cigarettes as first-aid kits? Energy drinks as stamina boosts? A fridge filled with legendary Polish “kiełbasa”? That’s just how things work around here.
CyberTaxi: Lunatic Nights is now available via Steam Early Access and can be added to your wishlist. Stay up to date by following Hed Media Games on Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, and X.
