TECH NEWS – Judging by the camera bump, it seems as if the South Korean company has followed Apple’s lead.
Shortly after we saw mockups of the Samsung Galaxy S26 product family for the first time, render images of the Galaxy S26 Edge arrived. Visually, the Galaxy S26 Edge is strikingly different from this year’s Galaxy S25 Edge. However, due to Samsung’s design choices, the Galaxy S26 Edge can also be considered a copy of the iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max, which Apple plans to unveil next week.
According to some specifications, the device will measure approximately 158.4 x 75.7 x 5.5 mm. If we add the rear bump, the thickness increases to 10.8 mm. One of the leakers, Ice Universe, was correct about these dimensions because he previously claimed that the Galaxy S26 Edge would have a thinner body than the Galaxy S25 Edge while being equipped with a larger battery.
If the rear bump looks unattractive, it may be because Samsung needs extra space to enhance the Galaxy S26 Edge’s camera system. The South Korean tech giant may implement larger sensors to improve photo and video quality. This design choice might spark criticism for copying the iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max, but in exchange, users gain genuinely useful features.
From the front, the device looks almost identical to Samsung’s other high-end smartphones. A subtle change is that the premium 2026 model will have more rounded corners, making it more comfortable to hold and less likely to poke through your pocket compared to sharper designs.
Since these are only renders, they are not final, but they are most likely very close to the product Samsung will officially launch in early 2026.
