Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection: the story has been added to the calendar [VIDEO]

Although it’s a smaller-scale Monster Hunter title, Capcom has already announced exactly when it will arrive.

This all-new adventure is the latest entry in the popular RPG series, where Monster Riders embark on thrilling journeys across the expansive Monster Hunter universe. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection tells the tale of two nations on the brink of ruin. As crystals spread across the lands of Azuria and Vermeil, the discovery of a mysterious egg offers hope. From it hatches a Rathalos long thought extinct. Yet this glimmer of hope soon fades when a second creature emerges from the same egg. These twin Rathalos bear the mark of the Skyscale Rathalos twins, omens of destruction tied to a civil war that erupted 200 years ago. As the environment deteriorates and monsters edge toward extinction, the flames of war begin to rise once more.

Players take on the role of Azuria’s heir, blessed with unique abilities that make them the leader of the Rangers and the kingdom’s sole Rathalos Rider. Driven by duty, they protect monsters and investigate the mysteries of the egg’s quartz. But a life-changing event soon compels them to confront the strange phenomena threatening the world. In search of answers, they journey beyond the northern Meridian into forbidden lands.

The protagonist is joined by Eleanor, princess of Vermeil. Distressed by the worsening crisis, she offers herself as a hostage to Azuria in hopes of easing tensions between the nations. Inspired by the Rangers’ efforts, Eleanor and her loyal Monstie, Anjanath, join the quest to uncover her sister, the queen of Vermeil’s, true intentions. United by the looming shadow of calamity, they step into the torrent of fate and venture into forbidden territory.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will release on March 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The visuals will no doubt impress, though only time will tell how well the game performs in practice.
