DOOM, Lovecraft, and buckets of gore – that’s what awaits in Blood: Refreshed Supply. The iconic ’90s shooter is being revived in a “definitive” remaster featuring new missions, expanded multiplayer, and full mod support. Nightdive Studios aims to bring back the original’s relentless brutality and haunting atmosphere with modern technology.

Some games radiate the essence and nostalgia of the ’90s the moment you see them – and that old-school identity still fascinates decades later, especially when handled by remaster specialists like Nightdive Studios. After bringing back classics like Heretic and Hexen, the studio is tackling another legendary title that deserves a second life: Blood: Refreshed Supply.

Blood: Refreshed Supply Officially Announced

Nightdive Studios announced during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct that Blood: Refreshed Supply will launch on December 4, 2025, on all major PC platforms: Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. For the first time ever, the remaster will also hit modern consoles: Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version coming in 2026.

This version builds on Nightdive’s 2019 release Blood: Fresh Supply. The new edition adds technical improvements for modern platforms, including up to 4K resolution with unlocked framerates, split-screen and online multiplayer for up to eight players, behind-the-scenes footage, and two new missions — Marrow and Death Wish, the latter arriving as a post-launch update.

Gameplay-wise, Blood: Refreshed Supply faithfully revives the classic experience. Players once again step into the boots of Caleb, the undead gunslinger seeking vengeance against the dark god Chernobog. This remaster includes 42 levels, enhanced mod integration, and a variety of multiplayer modes, from co-op to PvP. Notably, Nightdive is highlighting community-created episodes, with two fan-favorite missions receiving new content.

Here’s What Blood: Refreshed Supply Looks Like

Blood: Refreshed Supply will launch at a price of €29.99, and pre-orders are now available on most platforms with a 20% discount. Owners of Blood: Fresh Supply on Steam and GOG will receive a 66% discount. The previous version will be delisted once the new release is available. The remaster promises to retain the original’s gore and Lovecraftian horror while delivering new content and features tailored for modern audiences.
