You Too Can Be an Excellent Emergency Dispatcher, And for Free!

A game in which you can play a life-saving role has been made temporarily free, and every second counts.

In 911 Operator, you play the role of an emergency dispatcher who must quickly respond to incoming reports. It’s not just enough to pick up the calls; you must also react appropriately to the situation. Sometimes, giving first aid instructions is enough. At other times, police, fire department, or paramedic intervention is necessary. Remember that the person on the other end of the line could be a father whose daughter is dying, an unpredictable terrorist, or just a prankster.

Free Play mode lets you choose a city to play in. The game will download its map, complete with real streets, addresses, and emergency infrastructure. Career mode contains six cities with unique events. Survive an earthquake in San Francisco and save Washington, D.C., from bomb attacks. You have a number of police, fire department, and paramedic units at your disposal. These units may use a variety of vehicles (e.g., ambulances and police helicopters) and essential equipment (e.g., bulletproof vests, first aid kits, and technical tools). Team members have different abilities.

There are over 50 recorded dialogues inspired by real calls, which can be serious, dramatic, funny, or annoying. There are real first aid instructions. There is an opportunity to play in any city in the world. Six selected cities in Career mode feature unique calls and events. There are more than 140 types of reports to encounter. There are 12 types of emergency vehicles, including helicopters, police cars, and motorcycles.

The system requirements are minimal: a Windows 7 operating system, a 2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 512 MB of VRAM, 500 MB of free storage space, and a sound card. This game is simple — these are the minimum requirements listed on Steam. The recommended requirements are also low: a 3 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 1 GB of free storage space. These requirements can easily be met by any PC assembled within the last 10 or 15 years.

Add 911 Operator to your Steam account for free before 7:00 p.m. CET on September 29.
