A Month Late, But Two Must-Play RPGs Finally Hit PC Game Pass!

Better late than never. Xbox has delivered on its promise with two must-play fantasy RPGs landing on PC Game Pass. They were due in early October, but Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II Enhanced Editions have just arrived on PC.

Game Pass updates monthly with new arrivals and tough goodbyes, like the recent removal of STALKER 2 after a year on the market. The service also stumbles at times, as it did with Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2: Enhanced Editions. On paper, the classic pair was slated for early October, yet PC never got them, only consoles. After a month’s delay, both are finally live.

Originally crafted by BioWare in the 1990s and later re-released by Beamdog, these genre pillars have now made it to Microsoft’s subscription after being announced for October 9, then quietly slipping. From today, PC players can dive into both gems with all enhancements and expansions included.

PC Game Pass Grows With Two Fantastic RPGs

The arrival of Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II is big news for classic RPG and Dungeons & Dragons fans, especially in the wake of Baldur’s Gate 3’s runaway success. Set in the Forgotten Realms, you create a hero and embark on an epic journey of moral choices, tactical combat, and rich storytelling.

  • Modern resolutions – Full support for today’s displays.
  • Updated UI – Interfaces tuned for current screens.
  • New companions – Additional recruitable characters.
  • Extra content – Add-ons that expand the original arcs.
  • Infinity Engine upgrades – Bug fixes and quality-of-life tweaks without losing the classic feel.

With this drop, Xbox makes good on its promise and gives PC players a chance to relive two of role-playing’s most beloved adventures. It also lets a new generation see why Baldur’s Gate I & II remain benchmarks of the genre.
