As with the base game, we can probably expect some content expansion here as well, although it may depend on Bloober Team’s capacity.
A few days ago, the exclusive status of the Silent Hill 2 Remake on the PlayStation 5 ended when the psychological horror remake of the game originally released for the PS2 in 2001 became available on the Xbox Series. Dusk Golem, a Twitter insider, wrote that the lack of an announced DLC does not mean it won’t happen. This was in response to a user who claimed the leaker had lied because Born from a Wish never appeared in Silent Hill 2 Remake.
In another tweet, Dusk Golem wrote that a few months ago, he said he was 100% sure Bloober Team was working on an Xbox Series port of Silent Hill 2 Remake and that the developers planned to release the Born from a Wish DLC. He claimed that both were scheduled for release by the end of 2025. The Xbox Series port has already been released, so he was at least partially correct.
Just because it wasn’t announced here doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

I’m still looking into it, but as I said a few months ago, 100% for a fact Bloober was working on an Xbox port & Born From a Wish DLC last year both before & after SH2R released, & were aiming for a late 2025 window. The Xbox port is hitting now, so hmmmnn.

But what is Born from a Wish? It was included as an extra story in the Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 2 re-releases (but not in the original 2001 game!). In this short story, we control Maria before she and James meet in Silent Hill. She regains consciousness in the city, armed with a gun and contemplating suicide, and decides to find someone. At a local mansion, she encounters the owner, Ernest Badwin, who refuses to let her in. Maria carries out Ernest’s requests, and he then warns her about James, calling him a bad man. When Maria opens Ernest’s room, it is empty. She considers suicide again, but then runs into James, and the story ends when she first meets him in the park.
We’ll see if there will really be DLC.
