AMD Radeon RX 9070: It Finally Surfaced in Steam’s Hardware Survey!

TECH NEWS – AMD’s graphics card has finally appeared on Valve’s platform, but it lags behind even the RTX 5090.

Steam recently published its latest hardware survey statistics. According to the data, Nvidia Blackwell GPUs are increasing their market share, and “60-class” GPUs remain the most popular. The five most commonly used GPUs among Steam users are the RTX 3060, RTX 4060 Laptop, RTX 4060, RTX 3050, and GTX 1650, accounting for 27% of the total market.

The most popular Blackwell GPU is the RTX 5070 with a 3.05% share, followed by the RTX 5060 (2.21%), RTX 5070 Ti (1.94%), RTX 5060 Ti (1.74%), RTX 5080 (1.68%), RTX 5060 Laptop (1.14%), RTX 5090 (0.60%), and RTX 5070 Ti Laptop (0.36%). Despite missing several models, the RTX 5000 family still holds a combined 12.72% share.

The new year marks the first appearance of AMD RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9070 GPUs on Steam. None of AMD’s RX 9000 GPUs appeared during 2025, but in December, the RX 9070 series showed up with a 0.22% share, trailing even the RTX 5090.

Other unnamed Radeon Graphics solutions hold a combined 6.18% share, while the RX 7800 XT remains AMD’s most popular named GPU at 1.57%.

AMD has significantly increased its CPU market share to 47.27%, while Intel has dropped to 55.47%, moving closer to a 50-50 split. The strongest growth was seen in 8-, 6-, and 12-core CPUs.

In terms of resolution, 1080p remains dominant at 53.68%, followed by 1440p at 21.77% and 4K at 5.47%. UWQHD (3440×1440) continues to grow slightly.

At least AMD is finally appearing on the list with its RDNA 4 architecture.
