It’s so visually insane it almost feels unreal. But Crimson Desert is absolutely on the way – and we now know the wait won’t stretch out much longer. Yes, Pearl Abyss’ open-world RPG has taken its time, and it even went through a delay along the road, but the studio has now reached the point in development where the date is effectively secured. The title has finally reached the celebrated Gold stage.

Pearl Abyss confirmed the news in a post on X, where the team both thanked players for their support and reminded everyone that Crimson Desert launches on March 19, 2026. In other words, the RPG hit Gold almost two months ahead of release – leaving plenty of breathing room for bug fixing and last-minute polish before the final build ships. So what does “going gold” actually mean? Basically, it’s the industry term that signals the game’s development has been completed and the release version is ready. Even so, with a few weeks still left before launch, Pearl Abyss can use the remaining time to refine the experience further and deliver the best possible version of Crimson Desert.
