MOVIE NEWS – Prime Video’s God of War series is getting close to the finish line, and the latest update finally fills out the support squad around Kratos and Atreus. Amazon has now confirmed who will bring Mimir, Brok, and Sindri into the live-action adaptation, meaning three of the most important allies from the last two games. Prime Video says Alastair Duncan is back as the “wisest man in the world” Mimir, while Danny Woodburn and Jeff Gulka will play the dwarf blacksmith brothers.
Prime Video’s God of War adaptation is steadily taking shape. Over the past few weeks, multiple actors have been confirmed for key roles tied to the last two God of War games, namely the 2018 entry and God of War Ragnarök, both rooted in Norse mythology. After revealing who will portray Kratos, the production has now named some of his most loyal allies.
The Actors Playing Sindri, Brok, and Mimir
Just a few hours ago, Amazon confirmed the actors set to portray Mimir, Brok, and Sindri. The headline for fans is that Alastair Duncan will return as Mimir. The Scottish actor already voiced and defined the “wisest man in the world” in Santa Monica Studio’s games, so the series can keep that cynical yet reassuring edge that turned him into Kratos’ best adviser across the last two games.
Alongside him, Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld, The Witcher) has been cast as Brok, the seasoned blacksmith who, with his brother, forged both Mjölnir and the Leviathan Axe. Rounding out the forge duo, Jeff Gulka (The X-Files) has been selected to play Sindri. Known together as the Huldra Brothers, the pair will lighten the mood for Kratos and Atreus across the Nine Realms while also helping out on the weapons front. The casting suggests Sony Pictures and Amazon are aiming for a mix of strict fidelity and proven on-screen veterans.
It is still unclear who will portray Baldur, Freya, Atreus, Magni, Modi, and Thrúd. For now, the confirmed names include Mandy Patinkin as Odin, Teresa Palmer as Sif, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor, and Max Parker as Heimdall. Filming is expected to begin in March 2026, so more casting news for the remaining characters should arrive soon. If everything stays on track, God of War Season 1 should premiere in early or mid-2027, and Season 2 has already been greenlit.
