Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have announced DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and it will launch on June 25 for $39.99 / £32.99 / €39.99 / ¥6,380. A free-to-play version, DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters, will release the same day.

Last Round is positioned as the definitive edition of DEAD OR ALIVE 6, a release that shipped over 900,000 copies worldwide and reached more than eight million downloads through its free-to-play offering. The new package bundles the original 24 characters and adds five fighters from the game’s DLC lineup right into the core roster: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki.

Costumes are getting a cross-title push, too. Kasumi and Marie Rose will receive five outfits inspired by other Team NINJA games, including NINJA GAIDEN 3 Razor’s Edge and DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation. The headline addition is a new Photo Mode designed to let players capture fighters from any angle, supported by a full toolset that includes options like “character position” and “pose selection”.

Last Round has also been updated for current hardware, and it is built to carry forward existing ownership where it matters. Players will be able to transfer downloadable content costumes, premium tickets, and save data from the standard DEAD OR ALIVE 6 edition, aiming to keep long-time progress intact when moving to the new release.

Core Fighters Launch Details, Online Modes, And Post-Launch Updates Planned Across Both Versions

The free-to-play version, DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters, is set to arrive simultaneously with the standard edition. At launch, Kasumi, Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO will be available to use, and the announcement confirms Photo Mode will be playable, alongside online modes “DOA Quest” and “DOA Central”.

Koei Tecmo is also already mapping out follow-up support. Further updates are planned after launch across both the paid and free-to-play editions, including additional costumes and new characters rolling out throughout the coming year, with more details promised in the near future.
