Samsung Galaxy S26: An Unreleased Model Has Appeared for Sale!

TECH NEWS – The South Korean tech giant is preparing to release new smartphones this year. However, a model that has not even launched yet has appeared on Craigslist (roughly the Hungarian equivalents would be Jófogás or Hardverapró).

There are still about two weeks to go before the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Nevertheless, the unreleased Galaxy S26+ has appeared on Craigslist, so it must be either a prototype or a scam. Judging by the camera layout, this is most likely the S26+ and not the S26 Ultra, as one tweet claims. The device is either a prototype used for internal testing at Samsung, or part of a sophisticated scam.

According to information shared by @SPYGO19726, many potential buyers have canceled their pre-orders for the upcoming devices, which makes Samsung‘s annual sales target of 34 million units for the S26 series a difficult task. These cancellations are related to the iterative updates that the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup is apparently undergoing. After all, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, arguably the most powerful phone in the series, is expected to have only a 5000 mAh battery and to forego built-in Qi2 magnets, which would have opened up the full ecosystem of MagSafe accessories.

Meanwhile – and arguably the one standout hook for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series – Samsung is introducing Flex Magic Pixel OLED technology to the lineup, enabling the so-called Privacy Display. The technology uses artificial intelligence to soften off-angle viewing without affecting screen brightness, preserving a clear, direct viewing experience for the user. The goal is to prevent anyone from peeking at your smartphone activity from the side.

Samsung also appears to be planning price increases for the Galaxy S26 series in certain markets. The base Galaxy S26 is expected to cost 1,254,000 won ($865 – roughly 277,000 HUF) in South Korea, making it about 99,000 won ($67.60 – roughly 22,000 HUF) more expensive than the base Galaxy S25. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be priced at 1,797,000 won ($1,240 – roughly 397,000 HUF), which is a 98,600 won ($67.13 – roughly 21,800 HUF) increase compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra
