Abyssus: The BioShock-Style Roguelike FPS Has Received Another Major Update [VIDEO]

Due to the release of update 1.2, DoubleMoose‘s game has also been discounted.

The expedition has reached a new milestone. Patch 1.2 is out and brings with it a new weapon, a new skill, new boss patterns, new challenges, cosmetic rewards, and an avalanche of balance improvements, bug fixes, and quality of life (QOL) updates. Patch 1.2 is just a step in the developers’ triumphant march to conquer the Abyss. Soon, they will reveal more information about the upcoming Patch 1.3, which will be the biggest one yet.

The harpoon gun, the favorite weapon of the Northern Reaches’ hunters, is a new weapon powered by brine. Trading fire rate for uncanny precision, each harpoon shot fired from the primary setting will increase your combo point gauge. This allows you to unleash a secondary shot whose power grows according to the number of combo points spent. It’s the perfect weapon for Brinehunters who want a gun that packs a punch at any range without sacrificing crowd control capabilities. A new skill is the Smiting Spear. Imbued with the energies of the Surge, the Smiting Spear attaches to whatever it is thrown against – be it an enemy or the environment – and deals continuous damage around itself. It’s ideal for zone denial, disrupting large crowds of enemies, and giving To’raka some of his own medicine.

There will be new boss patterns. Challenge the new incarnations of the Golemancer, Kri’Su, and Un’glu – now empowered by the powers of the Surge – and forget your muscle memory. Test your skills against their all-new attacks and unexpected abilities. There is no comfort zone in the depths below. New content means new challenges, and with new challenges come new rewards. Face the dangers below with the brand-new gear implemented in version 1.2, and you’ll unlock warm clothes and festive cheer for the frozen season. If frozen is precisely what you’re looking for, support the developers by purchasing the new cosmetic-only Brinefrost DLC for €/$3.6 (10% off).

The developers are hard at work on Patch 1.3, the biggest update yet. It will add new content to Abyssus, including a new area with deadly inhabitants. Until March 12, the game itself is discounted by 30%, so it can be purchased for €/$17.50 instead of €/$25.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
