Halo Campaign Evolved: Is Master Chief’s Content Already Complete? [VIDEO]

Halo’s transition to a multiplatform franchise is almost complete, but questions about customization remain unresolved.

According to a recent rumor, Halo: Campaign Evolved can be played from start to finish, and the customization systems extend beyond armor to include weapon skins and redesigned Mark V variants. Rebs Gaming, who has recently published numerous rumors about Halo: Campaign Evolved and is considered a reliable source, shared detailed information about the game’s customization system and other features in his latest video. Now that Halo Studios has confirmed there will be no in-game store (following concerns about the Master Chief skin unveiled as part of the Fanta partnership), we have a clearer idea of just how deep the customization can go, along with a sneak peek at the game’s current state of development.

According to Rebs Gaming, Master Chief will have a skin system that allows players to customize his appearance with armor sets based on Mark V armor that has been modified and redesigned. We’ve already received confirmation of the armor skins through the Fanta partnership unveiled for Xbox’s 25^(th) anniversary. However, Rebs Gaming has also stated that the game will feature weapon skins. Fortunately, the game will not feature a store. This suggests that these cosmetic items may be unlockable through gameplay, perhaps by completing the game on Legendary difficulty, earning achievements, or through other promotions.

Rebs Gaming revisited an earlier rumor that Halo: Campaign Evolved reuses graphical assets from Halo Infinite. According to one of their sources, this is true, but certain elements are being modified slightly. In addition, the game has essentially been completed in terms of content and is currently playable from start to finish, including the three additional prologue missions that Rebs Gaming previously detailed.

The latest rumors suggest that the game will be showcased in more detail at the Xbox showcase on June 7.
