Sony has announced which games are coming, and this time there’s a standout title already available to subscribers of the premium tier.

PlayStation Plus Extra (and PlayStation Plus Premium) subscribers received a major update yesterday, with Helldivers II being added to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (PlayStation 5) and Vampire Survivors (PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4) will be available worldwide on 18 August. The following titles will be available on 25 August in the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan, and on 18 August in the rest of the world: Dying Light 2: Stay Human (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Hell is Us (PlayStation 5), Metro Exodus (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Two Point Museum (PlayStation 5) and Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash (PlayStation 4).

Believe it or not, this time the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalogue is expanding with not one, but two games, which will be available exclusively to PlayStation Plus Premium members on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. One is the PlayStation 2 title Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and the other is the PlayStation 1 game Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire. We’ve often criticised Sony (and rightly so) for adding only one game per month to the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalogue, so we’re a bit confused here. One of the PlayStation Plus Essential games for August is Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Reloaded Edition. Either they have made a typo or they have included a game that has been available to all subscribers since the beginning of the month. The same image appears above ‘Dying Light 2’ on the PlayStation Blog (the image for the Reloaded Edition is shown). Is Sony so inattentive that it doesn’t know what it’s giving players, or is the first game intended for PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscribers? Or did they perhaps mean Dying Light: The Beast?

They should also list the games that are leaving, but they can’t even get that right.
