TECH NEWS – The South Korean tech giant has reported such massive profits that they are almost beyond comprehension.
Samsung scored a huge success with its operating profit forecast for the first quarter of 2026. This forecast indicates explosive growth that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago. It proves that the current memory manufacturing boom is no illusion. Samsung has released its key forecasts for the first quarter of 2026, which surpass even the most optimistic projections. For instance, Samsung expects total revenue of 133 trillion won ($88.273 billion) for the first quarter of 2026, surpassing the consensus estimate of 116.81 trillion won.
More astonishingly, Samsung expects an operating profit of 57.2 trillion won ($37.8 billion) for the first quarter of 2026—a 700% increase from the previous year. This figure is 184% higher than the 20.1 trillion won in operating profit that the South Korean tech giant reported in the fourth quarter of 2025. This operating profit forecast exceeds Samsung’s previous record by more than threefold.

Meanwhile, as we just learned, Samsung’s revenue stream from memory manufacturing continues to perform exceptionally well. After all, Samsung is currently shipping its DRAM products at prices that have risen by about 30% quarter over quarter. Most importantly, these price increases follow the average price in the first quarter of 2026 rising 100% compared to the same period the previous year. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that analysts at KB Securities now believe Samsung will achieve a total operating profit of 327 trillion won in 2026 and an astonishing 488 trillion won in 2027, making it the world’s most profitable company.
Of course, this means that PCs will remain unaffordable. Virtually every component is becoming more expensive. For example, Intel processors have tripled in price in just six months. Additionally, RAM and SSDs have become particularly expensive due to the AI craze.
