Rainy Night Creations and Rainy Frog are ending the game’s Nintendo console exclusivity, as it is now also heading to Sony and Microsoft hardware.
Enjoy retro 3D stealth action with modern effects, randomly generated missions, modern gear, and local multiplayer. As a member of the Spy Drops counter-terror team, your mission is to neutralize a threat that could plunge the world into digital darkness, all while unknowingly getting drawn ever deeper into a conspiracy. Dropped behind enemy lines, your covert operations revolve around infiltrating infrastructure and carrying out secret missions. In the field, you must use the Dream Catcher to extract information from soldiers’ minds in order to uncover the locations of the next targets. Missions are randomly generated, creating a tense experience because you never know what is waiting around the next corner. Every playthrough will be different.
You will explore enemy bases room by room, deciding how to deal with each situation while staying away from enemies who can see your shadow and hear your footsteps. You can hack or shoot cameras, sneak past guards or knock them out, scout the area with a drone, hide in lockers, or even wear sponge boots to move quietly. You are free to choose what equipment to bring on each mission, from drones and hacking tools to explosives, night vision goggles, and more. Changing times of day and weather conditions can either hinder you or provide cover, so you will need to prepare accordingly. As you progress, new gear and weapons become available.
Take on a friend in the local two-player Spy against Spy mode. Jump into random missions outside the main story and push your skills to the limit. Your completion times in this mode are uploaded to the global leaderboards, where you can compete with players from around the world for the top spot.
Spy Drops launched for Nintendo Switch and PC on July 31, 2025. Now the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions are coming too, and we already know the release date: April 28.
