SNEG is bringing back more than 20 classic games from the franchise’s past, giving PC players a huge selection of old titles to browse on Steam.
SNEG, working together with Games Workshop and a number of other developers, is making a large batch of titles available under the Warhammer Classics label. Many of these games were previously unavailable on Steam because they were sold elsewhere or had vanished from sale entirely. To celebrate the launch, every game in the lineup is discounted for one week, and several bundles have also been put together, with those packages receiving launch discounts as well.
These games are brand new to Steam, with developer and publisher listed in parentheses: Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat (SNEG, SNEG), Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000 (SNEG, SNEG), Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate (SNEG, SNEG), Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War (SNEG, SNEG), Warhammer: Dark Omen (SNEG, SNEG), Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior (Chilled Mouse, SNEG), Warhammer: Mark of Chaos – Gold Edition (SNEG, SNEG).
These games are returning to Steam: Space Hulk (Full Control, SNEG), Space Hulk: Ascension (Full Control, SNEG), Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon (Slitherine, Slitherine), Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach (Slitherine, Slitherine), Talisman: The Horus Heresy (Nomad, Nomad), Talisman: Digital Classic Edition (4th Edition) (Nomad, Nomad), Talisman: Origins (Nomad, Nomad), Man O’ War: Corsair – Warhammer Naval Battles (Evil Twin, SNEG), Warhammer Quest (Rodeo Games, Twistplay, Chilled Mouse), Warhammer Quest II: The End Times (Perchang, Perchang), Legacy of Dorn: Herald of Oblivion (Tin Man, Tin Man), Chainsaw Warrior (Auroch Digital, Auroch Digital), Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of Night (Auroch Digital, Auroch Digital).
And these games are joining the wider Warhammer Classics lineup: Warhammer Underworlds – Shadespire Edition (Tin Man, Tin Man), Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Anniversary Edition (Relic, Relic), Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Anniversary Edition (Relic, Relic), Dark Future: Blood Red States (Auroch Digital, Auroch Digital), Space Hulk: Tactics (Cyanide, Focus), Battlefleet Gothic: Armada (Tindalos, Focus), Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition (Cyanide, Nacon), Blood Bowl II: Legendary Edition (Cyanide, Nacon).
“Warhammer Classics is more than just a collection of re-releases. It is a clear statement of intent: that Warhammer’s foundational games matter, and that they deserve to be preserved, celebrated, and reintroduced to PC players around the world. With so many titles lost to time and obsolete hardware, Warhammer Classics was created to safeguard this legacy for future generations. Warhammer has a long history on PC, and we are committed to ensuring that the platform remains central to its long-term stewardship, giving these games new life for years to come”, said SNEG director Oleg Klapovskiy in the official press release.
This is another solid way of preserving games.
