Windows 11: Xbox Mode for a Console-Like User Experience!

Microsoft has released a significant update that could be useful for those who want to use their PC as a gaming console.

The company has begun rolling out Xbox Mode, which focuses on gaming, to all Windows 11 computers and devices. Xbox Mode is currently being rolled out on all Windows 11 computers, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and other devices. With Xbox Mode, Windows 11 users can enjoy a faster and more intuitive console-like gaming interface. Xbox Mode is designed for those moments when you want gaming to take center stage on your Windows 11 devices. Inspired by the Xbox console experience, Xbox Mode offers a simplified interface that makes your library and recently played titles easily accessible while minimizing background distractions.

Microsoft has announced that the rollout will begin in select markets and eventually expand to other regions. In markets where it is available, users can download Xbox Mode via Windows Update. Users can expect the following features on Windows 11 PCs: browsing and launching games on a controller-optimized interface, seamless switching between Xbox Mode and the Windows 11 desktop, and access to a unified game library. This includes the full Xbox Game Pass catalog and games installed from leading PC stores. To access Xbox Mode on Windows 11, open Settings, select Windows Update, and turn on the “Download the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option.

Microsoft has also released updates for the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X handheld PC, adding support for the Auto Super Resolution feature and more. Furthermore, we recently reported on Microsoft’s upcoming project, K2, which aims to improve and optimize game performance, primarily on SteamOS. Xbox Mode and the previous Windows Full Screen Experience seem to be small steps in the right direction for the Microsoft team.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
