Wanderstop: Even Though the Developers Have Shut Down, a Physical Release Is Coming! [VIDEO]

Despite Ivy Road’s closure at the end of March, the narrative-driven, tea shop-themed, relaxing adventure game is coming to two platforms in physical format.

Wanderstop is a cozy, narrative-driven game about change and tea. Playing as Alta, a fallen fighter, you’ll manage a tea shop in a magical forest and serve customers who pass through. However, Alta does not want to be there. If she gets her way, the tea shop will be nothing but a brief and painful memory. Wanderstop is a tea shop management ritual. Grow and harvest ingredients for tea, then mix them in an unusual contraption. Speak with the many travelers who pass through the shop along the way. Learn their stories, and make tea that’s just right for them.

In your downtime, you can tidy up the area, decorate the shop, or sit on a bench with a cup of tea and think. Maybe doing nothing at all is okay. The shop demands patience; it rejects those who pursue growth unchecked. That’s why Alta can’t be here. She’ll never make it. This isn’t who she is. She’s a fighter! Why would anyone turn the world’s greatest championship warrior into a docile shopkeeper? With everything she’s capable of? She won’t do it. She can’t.

Wanderstop was first released on March 11, 2025, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Then, on June 25, it was released for the Nintendo Switch 2 and original Nintendo Switch. Thanks to Iam8bit, the physical edition will be available for the PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 on August 28 of this year. The PS5 version will cost $40, while the Switch 2 version, which will be on a cartridge, will cost $50. Iam8bit’s online store will also offer exclusive editions of both versions with unique cover art.

Wanderstop and Wanderstop FM will be released on two vinyl records priced at $43 each. Shipping is set to begin on August 28.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
