Hungary won’t escape the latest price hike, and most PC ports are doomed.
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it will raise PlayStation Plus prices for new customers in certain regions starting May 20, citing current market conditions. A one-month subscription will cost $11/£8/€10 (previously $10/£7/€9), and a three-month subscription will cost $28/£22/€28 (previously $25/£20/€25). Note that this applies only to the PlayStation Plus Essential tier, and there is no word on making the other two tiers (Extra, Premium) more expensive. The price increase does not apply to current subscribers in Turkey and India unless they change or renew their subscription.
Starting May 20, PlayStation Plus prices for new customers will increase in select regions. Due to ongoing market conditions, prices will start at $10.99 USD / €9.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP for 1-month subscriptions and $27.99 USD / €27.99 EUR / £21.99 GBP for 3-month subscriptions.…

At an internal company meeting, Hermen Hulst, CEO of the Sony Interactive Entertainment Studio Business Group, announced that Sony Interactive Entertainment will no longer release its major single-player titles on PC. Bloomberg editor Jason Schreier reported this, and in March he had already written, citing his sources, that titles such as Ghost of Yotei and Saros would remain exclusive to the PlayStation 5, while online games such as Marathon and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Fighting Souls would continue to be available on PC.
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s upcoming single-player titles include Marvel’s Wolverine, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and the God of War Trilogy Remake, all of which are expected to be released exclusively for the PlayStation 5. Third-party publishing deals, such as Kena: Scars of Kosmora (which will also be available on PC) appear to be unaffected. Only first-party titles are subject to exclusivity.
We’d like to make two quiet notes here. First, Xbox Game Pass recently became cheaper after the removal of Call of Duty, and citing market conditions as the reason is ridiculous. Second, we recently wrote that Saros sales aren’t strong on the PlayStation 5.
