Clockfall: Breaking The Loop Through The Power Of Time [VIDEO]

Rever Games and Radical Theory are taking a cautious approach to the release of their game, but they also have plans for consoles.

In Clockfall, players find themselves in the midst of an endless nightmare. To break the relentless time loop, players must crawl through lethal dungeons, slay fearsome enemies, and defeat colossal bosses. However, brute force alone will never be enough. In this world, time is the most precious resource, and the clock is always ticking. Players must optimize every move to reach the depths of the dungeon before time runs out, forcing them to make heart-wrenching choices to survive. They can invest in their immediate build by upgrading combat stats, unlocking new weapons, or mastering powerful spells. They can sacrifice their current progress to literally “buy” themselves more time.

Clockfall‘s core identity lies in its unique dual rhythm. The adrenaline of the dungeon crawl directly feeds into the intensity of the village defense mechanics. Everything scavenged during runs – resources, upgrades, etc. – must be used to fortify your hero and your settlement against enemy waves that grow larger and more ruthless over time. By successfully holding the line during invasion phases, players earn greater permanent upgrades, growing stronger with each run as they master the loop and ultimately escape this nightmare.

Now, let’s take a look at the system requirements:

Minimum system requirements:

64-bit operating system and processor required
Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (version number not specified)
Processor: Intel Core i5-760/AMD Phenom II X4 965
Memory: 2000 MB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 580/AMD Radeon HD 7870
DirectX: DX11
Free storage space: 2 GB, SSD strongly recommended

Recommended system requirements:

64-bit operating system and processor required

No, we didn’t make up that list – that’s literally all that’s listed on Steam for the recommended system requirements. As for RAM, that means 2 GB. That’s how they described it, and that’s how we reported it. Anyway, this corresponds to a configuration from 12-13 years ago, so Clockfall‘s system requirements don’t seem that bad. The recommended level might be a different story, though.

Clockfall will launch in early access on PC on May 28 and exit early access in 2027. At that point, it will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
