Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei want the entire Wo Long franchise represented on Nintendo’s platform, which launched a little over a year ago.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is not exactly a new game, since more than three years have passed since its launch on March 3, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The complete release, carrying the Complete Edition subtitle, arrived on those same platforms a little over a year later.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition launched on February 6, 2024, and this version includes the base game, the Battle of Zhongyuan, Conquerer of Jiangdong, and Upheaval in Jingxiang expansions, the Qinglong Armor Set, Zhuque Armor Set, and Baihu Armor Set bonus downloadable content, meaning three armor sets, as well as the Shiji downloadable content available as a Complete Edition purchase bonus, which reveals flag locations on the mini-map.
Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei are now bringing this version to Nintendo Switch 2, and we can also say when: the port will arrive on the Big N’s new hardware on September 3, so yes, another game has joined the September lineup, which already includes titles such as Control Resonant and Marvel’s Wolverine. Naturally, this will also be the complete edition, so the base game, all DLC, the armor sets, and Shiji will all be part of the package.
It is no coincidence that we said Nintendo Switch 2 is getting the full Wo Long franchise, since we reported the other day that Team Ninja and Tecmo Koei had announced the sequel, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, which will be multiplatform from the start, as it is already in development not only for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, but also for Nintendo Switch 2.
