MOVIE NEWS – Zita Görög spent almost a year struggling with exhaustion so severe that even ordinary daily responsibilities sometimes felt almost impossible. The Hungarian model and actress initially believed she had simply taken on too much, but neither additional rest nor exercise improved her condition. Blood tests eventually revealed hypothyroidism, severe anemia, insulin resistance, and further women’s health complications.
Zita Görög explained on social media that her energy had gradually disappeared over the course of nearly a year. At first, she blamed an overloaded schedule, so she began reducing her commitments and tried to rest during the afternoon whenever possible. Her condition did not improve, however, and during the same period she gained eight kilograms that regular exercise failed to shift. The prolonged exhaustion eventually affected more than her physical strength: she also experienced difficulty concentrating, irritability, and mental fatigue while continuing to meet her professional responsibilities and care for her three children.
“For almost a year, I have barely been dragging my body through each day. I thought I had simply taken on too much, so I began giving up some responsibilities and lying down in the afternoon whenever I had time. Over this period, I gained eight kilograms, and no matter how much I tried to control it or lose the weight through exercise, the number on the scale did not move,” she wrote. She added that the exhaustion had also affected her nervous system: “My mind kept failing me. I became stupid, angry, and irritated for no reason. I did not understand what was happening to me.”
A blood test finally provided the missing answers
Laboratory testing eventually brought the uncertainty to an end. According to Zita Görög, several health issues were identified at the same time, offering a possible explanation for the persistent fatigue, weight change, and mental symptoms. “My body was sending a warning: hypothyroidism, women’s health challenges, severe anemia, and a touch of insulin resistance all arrived in my life at once,” she explained. As a result, her summer is currently defined not by days at the beach, but by laboratory examinations, regular medical monitoring, and the careful scheduling of several medications.
Although the diagnoses finally explained why she had felt progressively worse for months, adapting to the new situation created an entirely different set of difficulties. Alongside organizing her medication, she also had to change her diet, even though cooking, planning meals, shopping carefully, and calculating portions were the tasks for which she had the least energy. On one occasion, the pressure overwhelmed her while she was standing in the kitchen. “There was a day when I simply started crying from exhaustion because I did not have the strength to decide what to cook, what would support my recovery, and what would not make my disrupted hormones worse,” she recalled.
She is now allowing herself to accept help
Zita Görög also emphasized that she is now receiving professional support and has gradually realized that she does not have to carry every burden by herself. In the second half of her post, she explained that she had reduced the pressure of daily cooking and meal planning by turning to a tailored food-delivery service, allowing more of her remaining energy to go toward recovery and her family. After many months without clear answers, she now understands which health problems she is facing, although treatment, follow-up examinations, and an entirely new daily routine continue to demand considerable adjustment.
