The Crew Motorfest Is Driving onto Nintendo Switch 2!

Hawaii is also coming to Nintendo’s platform, which launched last June, and this time it is fair to say that it is better late than never.

Ubisoft is offering a five-hour free trial for The Crew Motorfest, allowing players to sample the automotive festival on the island of O‘ahu before buying the game. After obtaining a Motorfest ticket, players can explore themed campaigns known as Playlists, covering numerous areas of car culture, from American muscle cars and Japanese street racing to legendary machines from the past.

Players can complete a wide range of driving challenges, steadily expand their vehicle collections, and customize cars according to their own tastes. The Custom Show also allows the community to display its individual style.

The Crew Motorfest takes players to the Hawaiian island of O‘ahu, where high-speed races through the busy streets of Honolulu alternate with volcanic ash-covered off-road routes and traditional racing circuits. Grand Race events let players use different types of vehicles while trying to finish ahead of 28 other drivers.

Demolition Royale pits eight teams against each other in a spectacular destruction derby where only one squad can remain standing. Summit Clash challenges allow players to complete objectives and compete for the highest positions on the leaderboards.

The Crew Motorfest originally launched on September 14, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives on October 8.

The physical edition will use the Game-Key Card format, meaning the card will not contain the complete game. Buyers will still need to download a significant amount of data, so this version does not provide a true physical preservation option either.

The port nevertheless demonstrates that Ubisoft is serious about supporting Nintendo’s new platform, just as it supported the original Switch. Otherwise, it would hardly spend resources bringing Ubisoft Ivory Tower’s nearly three-year-old game to Switch 2.

The remaining question is how large an audience this late port can attract, particularly after the original version has already become widely available at discounted prices on several other platforms.
