Marketing for S-Game’s title is really picking up steam, and it’s about time too, as the release date for this Wuxia action RPG is fast approaching.

S-Game has opened pre-orders and released an 11-minute trailer for Phantom Blade Zero. Additionally, on 17 August at 7pm Pacific, Sony Interactive Entertainment will be holding a special State of Play broadcast on YouTube and Twitch, showcasing Phantom Blade Zero’s gameplay in detail.

The game will be available in Standard and Deluxe editions, both of which are available to pre-order digitally. The Standard Edition ($60/€70) includes the Treasure Basin expansion and the Legacy costume, both of which can be unlocked via early access. The Deluxe Edition ($70/€80) includes the following exclusive content: the Wuling Legend and Blood-Steel Form costumes, a digital art book and a digital soundtrack.

S-Game presents Phantom Blade Zero, a fusion of classic Wuxia storytelling and exhilarating action powered by Unreal Engine 5. You play as Soul, a warrior with only sixty-six days left to live. Fend off assassins, unravel world-ending conspiracies, and defend your values with your life.

So this State of Play is coming at a bit of an inopportune time in our time zone, which is why we suggest everyone just get some sleep instead—because in the August 18 news (that is, next Tuesday), we’ll almost certainly be returning to Phantom Blade Zero, so everything will work out for the best in the end. And it’s no coincidence that we’re saying the release of Phantom Blade Zero is approaching—it’s coming to PlayStation 5 and PC (on Steam and the Epic Games Store) on October 29.

This might be one of the last major releases before Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set to arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on November 19.
