One day, two battery news articles – we swear we didn’t plan this! The Japanese people have found another new way to make us avoid putting our trusty wireless DualShock 4 on charge after just a few hours of gaming.
The Japanese Answer developed a new gadget that can be connected to our controller, although it makes the DS4 look a bit awkward. However, no buttons are being blocked off by it, so it wouldn’t be in our way during gaming, so we can forgive them that. This device can extend the battery life triple fold, plus it has four LEDs on it: these show us how much time we have left before we have to end up charging. You can charge via a micro USB cable.
It senses if the DualShock 4 is put into standby mode, plus it also has an on/off switch too. The weight is only 75 grams (!) while having a 2400 mAh battery in it. The price seems to be quite friendly: in Japan, it costs 3218 JPY, which is around 26 dollars or 24 euros, respectively. Just try to get used to the looks of it…
