Ubisoft has announced Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake, a modern revival of the acclaimed 1999 turn-based strategy classic. The full remake is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, although no release date has been confirmed yet.

This is being presented as far more than a visual touch-up, with 4K graphics, refined animation, and modern audio planned for the new edition. Its nine distinct factions, town building, resource management, and tactical army progression are all designed to retain the rhythm that made the original so enduring.

The campaigns will be reorganized into one continuous saga, expanded with a new prologue, epilogue, and cinematic sequences. Both classic expansions are included alongside the base game, allowing the wars of Erathia to return as one unified package.

Online battles will support up to eight players, while local hot seat play keeps the traditional same-screen format alive. Community maps will be available from day one, and built-in editing tools will let players design their own maps and full campaigns.
