The GTA VI leaks have stopped, but Take-Two is still committing major resources to identifying the person or group operating as Cyberleek. The publisher is seeking more Discord data while asking the court to keep key details hidden from the suspected leakers.

Cyberleek has gone silent since Rockstar released its official Extended Look, yet Take-Two’s legal team has not closed the case. The company has again asked a federal court in New York to order Discord to provide more information about servers and users potentially connected to unauthorized GTA VI footage.

The key difference in the new request is that Take-Two wants the filing handled under seal. The targeted Discord server names would therefore remain private because the publisher argues that public disclosure could alert the suspects and help them erase evidence.

“Take-Two has identified an additional Discord user and obtained supplemental identifying information regarding a previously identified Discord user.”

YouTube is no longer in Take-Two’s legal crosshairs

The company previously sought information from Microsoft, X and YouTube as part of the investigation. It has now withdrawn its request involving Google because the rapidly evolving case means the specific YouTube data is no longer required.

Earlier court documents pointed to three Discord servers, including one linked to content creator DarkViperAU, who firmly denied any involvement with the leakers. Because the latest filing is sealed, the communities targeted by the new request are unknown.

Cyberleek has stopped publishing material, but reports say those behind the name made substantial money through a related memecoin. Take-Two therefore appears determined to resolve the case before GTA VI launches on November 19.
