Travis Kelce Says Adam Sandler Made His Wedding to Taylor Swift Truly Unforgettable

MOVIE NEWS – Travis Kelce had nothing but praise for Adam Sandler, who took on a very special role at his wedding to Taylor Swift. According to the Kansas City Chiefs star, the actor gave the couple even more during the ceremony than they could ever have imagined.

Travis Kelce recently opened up in greater detail about his wedding to Taylor Swift, singling out Adam Sandler for the important role he played in making their big night unforgettable. Speaking on the September 2 episode of the New Heights podcast alongside his brother Jason Kelce, Travis described Sandler as “the f——– best person on this planet.” He then added: “It was the biggest night of our lives, it was absolutely insane.”

Travis Said the Wedding Was “So Magical”

Nearly two months after the ceremony, the Kansas City Chiefs star is clearly still riding the emotional high of the event. “It was a night out we’ll never forget,” he said. Kelce explained that he and Taylor were incredibly thankful for everyone who showed up, from the vows themselves to seeing all of their guests and enjoying the entire evening together. It also meant a great deal to them to hear afterward, through everyone else’s stories, just how much fun people had that night.

“And it was just so magical, man,” Travis continued. “I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”

The couple married at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 3, with roughly 1,000 guests attending the celebration. Despite the sheer size of the venue and the guest list, Swift and Kelce specifically wanted the event to retain a personal and private atmosphere.

Adam Sandler Gave the Ceremony His Own Touch

According to Travis, Sandler approached the responsibility in a way that only he could. “For him to be up for getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying me and Taylor,” Kelce said, before explaining that Sandler handled the ceremony in his unmistakable “Sandman style.” According to Travis, the actor ultimately gave them more in that moment than they could ever have imagined.

Adam Sandler had previously worked with Travis on Happy Gilmore 2, giving his role at the wedding an additional personal connection. After working together on the movie, Sandler ultimately attended the wedding not merely as another celebrity guest, but as the man who officially married the couple.

The Couple Wanted the Wedding to Feel Private

Travis also revealed why he and Swift chose Madison Square Garden for their big day. “We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions,” he explained. “We needed it to have a private feel, and MSG went above and beyond to give us that.”

The celebration also featured a strict no-phones policy, which Kelce said helped guests remain fully present during the event. Instead of taking pictures, recording videos or worrying about appearing in somebody else’s footage, those attending could concentrate on the ceremony and one another. It was another measure intended to preserve a sense of intimacy despite the enormous guest list and the intense media attention surrounding the couple.
