PlayStation Experience was not missed by Insomniac Games: this team took a brief time away with their Xbox One-exclusive Sunset Overdrive, but they returned to Sony with their good old Ratchet & Clank franchise. The old-new game was shown on stage for several minutes in the demo, and while the PlayStation 4-remake is based on the first game, we still could see some elements taken from later installments. That shouldn’t be a problem.
Ratchet and Clank will attack twice next year, and we already know when to expect them to show up. Twice, because there’s going to be a movie as well, not just the game. The PS4-remake will drop on April 12, 2016, the American cinemas will start to air the movie from April 28. No idea of the European dates yet, but it might happen before May. We’ll see.
The game seems to run stable. Hopefully the devs will avoid the embarrassment of their PS4 remake running worse than the PS2 original. We’re going to find that out in April.
