Capcom hasn’t given up yet. Their PlayStation 4-exclusive Deep Down is slowly becoming the current console generation’s The Last Guardian (which should be out by the end of 2016!), as unfortunately, we have seen less and less about this game.
Last time, we wrote about how Capcom filed for another extension at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The extension was granted, so they have one more chance to do so (in August or so), so technically, the Japanese company has until 11 February 2017, to finally release Deep Down as the trademark hasn’t been used in public (basically the game itself). What does this situation mean to Capcom? A simple but painful race against the clock and time aren’t going to stop for them at all!
Capcom has to shift their attention from Street Fighter V to Deep Down. We haven’t seen anything of this „Dark Souls in New York” game in 2015 at all, so it’s about time the development gets into a higher gear. The race is on.
