Injustice might see a sequel next year if we can believe the rumors about a possible E3 announcement – Injustice 2 might even see a reveal even before the E3!
Indeed, the DC Universe’s characters, who fought against each other in Injustice: Gods Among Us (which also received a current-gen re-release as well) might get a sequel announced at E3. According to the French site Gameblog, Netherrealm Studios have moved on from Mortal Kombat X to work on Injustice 2 with a planned release date in May 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. (We are worried about the PC version: Mortal Kombat XL, including both Kombat Packs, didn’t get a PC release, and Batman: Arkham Knight’s port was… let’s say, sub-par.)
We’ll believe it when we see it – until the alleged reveal, it’s a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt as usual. It would make sense, though: devs would keep their two-year schedule. 2011: MK9, 2013: Injustice, 2015: MKX, 2017: Injustice 2?
